Enthusiast

The Hungary Vampire

4 to 11 May
Hungary

On this year’s Hungary enthusiasts railtour we again visit rare lines, use unusual locomotives and travel in vintage stock provided by MÁV Nosztalgia, with two ex-ÖBB first class open carriages, one at each end of the train. A restaurant car and former governmental saloon Nr. 55, offering a big central table, will be situated in the middle of the train.

To avoid any long days, we have now extended the special train to be over 6 days rather than 5. Remember that Friday 8 May is a special UK bank holiday this year.

Highlights

  • Private charter train with vintage carriages
  • On-train restaurant car
  • Popular locomotives
  • Border crossings
  • Some non-passenger lines
  • Good hotels
  • Four nights in Debrecen
