India is renowned for being a remarkably colourful and vibrant destination, and there’s no shortage of things to see and do – whether it’s your first or 30th visit.

There are countless types of treasures to be discovered given the distinctive and captivating cities that make up the country. With India separated from much of Asia due to the Himalayas, India’s fascinating cultures developed with less outside interaction. But during the colonial era, cultures intertwined to create a relationship that brought India to the rest of the world, and the rest of the world to India. One such region that opened itself up to the world was North India.

This heavily populated and pulsating setting features some of India’s most famed locations – such as New Delhi, the wondrous Taj Mahal and the entry point into the Himalayas. It is here that PTG welcomes you to join us on ‘The Colours and Culture of North India’ tour. We explore these mentioned highlights, the beautiful scenery and more as we take in the major architectural sights, the various cultures and the multi-faceted religious beliefs of the residents. We journey on the incredible railways (including the UNESCO- listed narrow gauge railway) and through areas that were directly shaped by British colonialism.
